For chilli garlic prawns, our recipe calls you to use fresh red chilli as these typically have more flavour and therefore enhance any dish. However, you can pick the chilli type depending on your spice preference. For a milder option, use a chilli with lower heat, like fresno chilli (which is similar to a red jalapeño). If you like it hot, try a bird's eye chilli.

Method
1
Heat a large frying pan on a high heat. Add 3 tbsp of Lurpak® unsalted butter, the sliced garlic and peeled prawns to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning the prawns frequently to prevent burning. Add some grated lemon zest to taste, chopped parsley and chilli to serve.
TIP
To remove the veins from the peeled prawns, soak them in iced water and use a cocktail stick to tease out any entrails.
2
Enjoy your fried garlic & chilli prawns with a complementary dipping sauce, or a side of your choice such as sauteed vegetables or a rice dish.
