Everything about Gogosi

  • Gogosi are soft, deep-fried doughnut-like pastries made from flour, sugar, yeast, eggs and milk. Ideally, they should be light and fluffy on the inside with a crispy exterior. Usually dusted with powdered sugar, they're equally tempting when filled with jam, chocolate or cream too.
  • Gogosi have their roots in Romania, where they’ve long been a beloved treat. Today, you’ll find variations of these sweet little snacks all across Eastern Europe, each with its own local twist. Gogosi are particularly popular during festivals, family gatherings, or as a quick and easy homemade dessert.
  • Our recipe does not produce gluten-free or vegan Gogosi, as it contains wheat flour, butter, eggs, and milk, which include both gluten and animal-derived ingredients.
