Crispy oven roasted chicken pieces

  • 3 tbsp. plain flour
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 8 chicken pieces with skin on
  • Lurpak Spray
  • 6 sprigs of fresh sage roughly chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced.

Preheat your oven to 200℃ / 180℃ fan / gas mark 6

Combine the flour, paprika, pepper, thyme and salt.

Dry the chicken pieces with kitchen paper and coat with the flour mixture.

Tap the chicken to remove any excess and place in a roasting tray. 

Spray the chicken with Lurpak spray and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the oven and add the sage leaves and garlic.  Spray again with the Lurpak spray and return to the oven. Cook for a further 15-20 minutes or until the juices of the chicken run clear.

NOTE:  If you are using an oven thermometer the chicken should reach 165℃ in the thickest part of the meat.
