(Dessert - Serves 4)
Ingredients
750 g / 1 1/2 lbs apples
3 tbsp water
25 g / 1 oz LURPAK Slightly Salted Butter
1 tbsp sugar (approx.)
Filling
150 g / 5 oz dried breadcrumbs
75 g / 3 oz sugar
75 g / 3 oz LURPAK Slightly Salted Butter
250 ml / 9 fl oz whipping cream
Decoration: Redcurrant jelly.

Instructions
Peel the apples and remove the cores. Cut the apples into crescents and boil them with the water, covered, over a low heat. Add the butter when the apples are tender. Add sugar to taste. Leave to cool.
Filling: Mix the breadcrumbs and sugar. Melt the butter in a frying pan. Add the breadcrumb mixture and gently cook, stirring all the time, until golden brown. Allow to cool.
Serving: Whip the cream. Put the apple and the filling in alternate layers in small glass bowls, finishing with a layer of filling. Decorate with whipped cream and redcurrant jelly.
