Banana cake

This cake will easily be the children’s or the family’s favourite cake!
Bananas in caramel

The butter makes the bread extra crisp - so it goes very well with the soft banana in caramel.

Try something new. Introduce savoury ingredients into your baking - and you will be surprised.
Coconut Rounds
(Sweets - Makes approx. 25)
Sweet and soft “eggs” with coconut, taste good together with a cup of coffe.
Coffee-time cakes
(Cakes and biscuits - Makes 40)
Freeze the small cakes or keep them in an airtight container. Decorate them with melted chocolate if you prefer!

These scones are easily made because the dough does not need to rise - they are simply formed, baked and eaten.
Traditional Danish Applecake
(Dessert - Serves 4)
The most well known cake in Denmark. Served to coffee or as a dessert.
Apple pancakes with caramel whipped cream
(Dessert - Serves 4)
Instead of cream or jam, pancakes are wrapped around apple dice with apple cider vinegar. The vinegar emphasizes the taste of tart apples.
Brownies with ginger and lime
(Cakes - Makes 20)
These brownies contain stem ginger instead of nuts. Together with lime, the ginger makes a more spicy and tart brownie than the traditional cake. Brownies are easy to make and will keep juicy for one or two days.
Butter-fried pineapple and figs with liquorice
(Dessert - Serves 4)
Fresh fruit is fried in butter, or grilled. It is a quick and easy dessert with a surprising taste of liquorice. This dish is best in the summertime, when figs and pineapple are at their best.
Cappuccino Medals
(Cakes - Makes 8)
Medals is the danish name for an old fashined "granny-cake": round pastry-bases sandwiched with whipped cream and jam. These are made in an up-date-version with cappuccino-filling. They look smart, but are very easy to make. Serve immediately after filling. The pastries can be made in advance.
Chocolate bisquit cake
(1 cake - Makes 16 slices)
This cake is very easy to make, because it doesn´t need to be baked. In Denmark, it is a popular cake for children of any age. The recipe is easy enough for most children to prepare themselves. Serve the very rich and sweet cake with fresh fruit, e.g. orange.
Cookies with apricot and fennel seeds
(Cakes - Makes 16)
Cookies are easy to vary in many ways. Here, they contains dried apricots, orange rind and fennel seeds. Cookies are supposed to be large and soft cakes, but with a crisp edge. They are best newly baked.
Honey-orange-mint cake
(1 cake - make 20 slices)
This is a sweet and rich winter’s cake. The filling, made from butter, orange rind and mint, makes a perky kick with the spicy cake. It will keep approx. 8 days refrigerated, and will become even better day by day.
Birthday orange cake
(Cake - Makes 12 pieces)
At birthdays in Denmark we serve this "giant pretzel" together with tea, coffee or hot chocolate with whipped cream.
Baked Chocolate Cream
(Dessert & Cakes - serves 6)
Within halft an hour it is possible to create this delicious dessert with warm chocolate and fresh fruits in season.
Klöben – German Christmas Buns
(Desserts & Cakes – makes 16 buns)
A bun stuffed with dried fruit. Enjoy them nicely warm or cold with a cup of tea, perhaps as a sweet touch in a lunchbox.
Crumble Cake with Pineapple
(Dessert & Cakes - serves 4)
Crumble dough can be used as a "lid" on many different kinds of fruits, e.g. strawberries or pears. And the dough can be frozen.
Vanilla Cake with Fresh Raspberries
(Dessert & Cakes – 10 pieces)
All kinds of fruits, also canned, can be "dropped" in the hole and it is a good idea to consider the colours.
Baked Mango with Almond Cream
(Dessert & Cakes – serves 4)
The mango fruit has a wide range of colours – but the flesh is always yellowish. Peel it and slice it from the flat side.
